The New Jersey, the statutes provide that a minimum of ONE resident (as recommended by the residents association) be elected by the Board for a full term and have equal standing with all the other 11-15 Board members, including full voting privileges. However, since is ours is a Quaker-affiliated CCRC, the "voting" is generally by consensus. Currently there are two resident members, however one of them will finish his term this year, and the Board has indicated that it will not replace that resident member with another member.
